Resveratrol vs Cancer And Other Diseases
(Revised
5-2-11)
Is it really true? Is there an answer to slowing down the aging process? Is there a cure for diabetes? And finally, Is there a cure fore cancer?
Resveratrol, a type of polyphenol called a phytoalexin, a class of compounds produced by plants as part of the plant’s defense system against disease. It is produced in the plant in response to an invading fungus, stress, injury, infection, or ultraviolet irradiation. Red wine contains high levels of resveratrol, as do grapes, raspberries, peanuts, and other plants.
Can Resveratrol Cure Cancer?
Resveratrol has been shown to reduce tumor
incidence in animals by affecting one or more stages of cancer development. It
has been shown to inhibit growth of many types of cancer cells in culture.
Evidence also exists that it can reduce inflammation. It also reduces activation
of NF kappa B, a protein produced by the body’s immune systemmetastasis.
Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant. According to the American
Cancer Institute.

Prostate Cancer?
According to the American Cancer Institute
studies published in the International
Journal of Cancer show that drinking a glass of red wine a day may cut a
man’s risk of prostate cancer in half and that this approach appears to be more
effective against the most aggressive forms of the disease. Also, it appears
that men who drink more 4oz glasses of red wine (see resveratrol vs red wine
below) per week have a lower incidence (60%) of the more aggressive types of
prostate cancer.
Additionally, researchers have found the The muscadine grape (Vitis
rotundifolia) is distinct from the more common red grapes used to produce
red wines, and is a major source of resveratrol. The speical red grape is unique
in the research of prostate cancer prevention. The chemical constituents of
muscadine grapes differ from most other grape varieties, as they are richer in
chemicals called anthocyanins. Anthocyanins, which produce the red and purple
colors of the grapes, have strong antioxidant activity and have shown several
antitumor effects, including inhibition of DNA synthesis in breast cancer cells,
of blood vessel growth in some tumors, and of enzymes involved in tumor spread.
Muscadine grapes are the only grapes used to produce Vivix (details
below).
Resveratrol inhibits the development of type 1
diabetes that according to the Department of Pathology, Northwestern University
Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IL. The Inhibition of CCR6-mediated
migration of inflammatory cells by resveratrol may provide a powerful approach
for treatment of type 1 diabetes and possibly of other inflammatory diseases. learn

Aging Skin?
Resveratrol is a plant-derived polyphenol with
purported protecting action on various disorders associated with aging. Now It
has been suggested that resveratrol may protect the skin and slow down the aging
process and other skin disorders associated with aging. New findings in

Heart Disease?
From the American Heart Association’s
Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology Scientific Sessions 2011,
April 28-30, 2011 in Chicago, Ill. concluded the following information on
lboratory research of Stent coated with red wine chemicals may help keep
arteries open after angioplasty.
Current drug-eluting stents — rigid,
medicine-coated frameworks that prop open an affected blood vessel — are
designed to prevent re-narrowing. But the current generation of stents are
sometimes accompanied by complications such as clot formation. The clot risk
appears to stem from the vessel’s failure to quickly re-establish its
endothelial lining, an important component of the vascular healing process that
helps to prevent re-narrowing of the artery.
Researchers from Louisiana State University
using a polymer with combinations of two bioactive chemicals, resveratrol and
quercetin found in red wine showed that the coating combinations released the
healthful chemicals at levels that could inhibit cellular processes that promote
re-narrowing of blood vessels. Resveratrol also promoted endothelial cell growth
essential to re-establishing vessel lining, despite adverse conditions. learn

Red wine and resveratrol ~ Good for your heart?
Well by now you know that Red Wine has something
in it called resveratrol that has proven to have many benefits. But what about
heart health?
Researchers have found that Red wine, in
moderation may help prevent heart disease by increasing levels of “good”
cholesterol and protecting against artery damage. The baic belief, the
resveratrol/antiocidants are packed with heart healthy benefits. Bottom line
resveratrol may help protect the lining in blood vessels. And according to the Mayo Clinic it,
reduces “bad” cholesterol and prevents blood clots.
While this news about drinking red wine on a
regular basis may encourage people to drink more to acquire the associated
benefits of resveratrol needed to acquire these exciting health benefits it
turns out a person would need to drink several bottles of Red wine everyday for
the dramatic cancer, anti aging and heart curative benefits.
The American Heart Association (AHA) warns not
to begin consuming red wine to get a daily intake resveratrol. They claim on
average one to two drinks per day for men and one drink per day for women should
be okay. However, they claim the negative side effects of drinking red wine may
be more harmful than the benefits of resveratrol. Consuming large amounts of
alcohol increases the dangers of alcoholism, high blood pressure, obesity,
stroke, breast cancer, suicide and accidents. If you are considering a quality
resveratol product without the alcohol, Vivix may be your answer. (see

Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant.
Most research on resveratrol has been done on
animals, not people. Research in mice given resveratrol suggests that the
antioxidant might also help protect them from obesity and diabetes, both of
which are strong risk factors for heart disease. However, those findings were
reported only in mice, not in people. In addition, to get the same dose of
resveratrol used in the mice studies, a person would have to drink over 60
liters of red wine every day.
Vivix, developed by Shaklee Corp., is 10 times
more powerful than Resveratrol alone without the alcohol. 1 reaspoon of Vivix
equals the amount of resveratrol found in 100 glasses of red wine.
The latest news: Vivix™ Cellular Anti-Aging
Tonic is a revolutionary breakthrough in the fight against cellular aging.
Shaklee Corporation, the number one natural nutrition company in the U.S., says
Vivix is the world’s best anti-aging supplement. Vivix ingredients have been
shown to impact the four key mechanisms of cellular aging.* A 30 day supply of
Vivx packs the equivalent amount of resveratrol found in 3,000 glasses of red
wine, and Vivix ingredients were shown in a laboratory study to be 10x more
powerful in slowing a key mechanism of aging than resveratrol alone, without the
alcohol*
We are the only company to provide Super
Polyphenols from the Super Grape known as The muscadine grape (Vitis
rotundifolia). This is the only grape found in nature with an extra chromosome,
which scientists believe greatly enhances its polyphenol profile and potential
health benefits.* In collaboration with scientists from the University of
Georgia, Shaklee scientists employed a bioassay-guided process, which resulted
in a patent-pending super grape extract with ellagic acid, a polyphenol not
found in ordinary grapes. Ellagic acid is thought to be responsible for many of
the unique cellular anti-aging actions of the super grape in the Vivix
formulation.* Vivix is safe and has the highest in purity and quality and is
100% guaranteed. So take advantage of our powerful Resveratrol today,
Resveratrol patent pending blend1,290
